The number of housing units in Greater Cairo is likely to rise from 7.1 million currently to 7.6 million units by 2025, according to Savills, which also expects to increase the number of first-class housing units (luxury and high-end) to nearly 170,000 in West Cairo and New Cairo , compared to about 70 thousand currently. Residential demand is expected to experience resilient growth during the post-Covid recovery period, but there may also be an oversupply, Savills said.
